With respect to treating all organizations, non-profit and partners,
in a fair and impartial manner, the following advocacy statement
is intended to implement the advocacy clause of AEN's mission statement:
Monthly Meetings and Tables
- Non-profit organizations and partners may maintain tables at
monthly meetings with 24 hours notice and agreement they will
follow the conditions of this agreement.
- Non-profits and partners may not solicit funds anywhere but
their respective tables.
- AEN will not be responsible for the sale of tickets, merchandise,
lottery offerings, or any other item for sale.
- AEN will not collect funds on behalf of a non-profit.
- AEN will not strike an agreement where commissions or revenue
sharing is made from table sales.
- Non-profits may distribute materials from their respective tables,
but only partners may place publicity materials on any other table.
- Non-profits may not freely distribute materials.
- Non-profits may not address from the podium during meetings
without permission from the president.
Online Membership Database
- Non-profits will not have access to AEN's online membership
area.
- Only current members will have access to the opt-in membership
database, and future areas as they may be developed within the
password-protected area.
- AEN will not be responsible if protected information from the
database is distributed to non-profits, for-profits, or any other
entity.
Newsletter
- AEN will accept non-profit and partnership event information
for inclusion in its monthly newsletter if submitted to the newsletter
editor by the first Saturday of the month.
- AEN reserves the right to edit or omit any information provided
by a non-profit or partner.
- AEN will not automatically include bulletin board posts in the
newsletter.
- AEN will not post non-profit events on the main Web site area.
- Members may post events on the community events area of the
bulletin board.
- AEN reserves the right to approve and edit all posts to its
bulletin boards.
Co-Sponsorship Activities
- AEN will not co-sponsor a non-profit event without board approval.
- All past alliances, spoken and unspoken, will adhere to this
agreement. Future engagements must adhere to this agreement.
